According to Dubai, a whole new group of individuals are now eligible for the coveted golden visa.
The amended regulations, which were announced by the emirate on Saturday, October 5, World instructors' Day, now allow instructors to be eligible for the golden visa.
Amendment to visa regulations
Under the direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, announced the modification to the visa regulations.
With golden visas, holders can live in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with security and permanence without having to repeat the frequently difficult and drawn-out application process every few years.
Private education sector in Dubai
The new visa will be granted to exceptional teachers who have contributed significantly to Dubai's private education sector and shown extraordinary performance.
Teachers working in private early childhood centers, schools, and higher education establishments in Dubai will receive golden visas.
City officials have advised educators to visit the Knowledge and Human Development Authority for additional details if they are interested in applying.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, educators are highly esteemed for their pivotal role in molding Dubai's future.
"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all teachers and educators on this World Teachers' Day," he stated.
"We have a great appreciation for their work and the priceless part they play in educating people, raising the next generation, and advancing international relations.
We honor their commitment and accomplishments today because they not only shape the present but also set the stage for a thriving future.
"Dubai's commitment to investing in human capital is reaffirmed by the contributions of teachers, who serve as a source of inspiration for today's youth and tomorrow's leaders."
The city's Education 33 plan includes the golden visa in an effort to make Dubai one of the top locations for exceptional educators.
Recently new national holiday
The announcement comes after a new national holiday was recently declared, with February 28 being the celebration day each year.
The Emirati Day for Education, which was declared on Monday, September 30, honors the contribution that education has made to the development of the UAE.
The first group of teachers graduated on February 28, 1982, under the direction of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country's founder and first president.
