A UAE-based company, Air Chateau International, is set to launch an inter-emirate private helicopter service, significantly enhancing travel convenience across the country. Passengers will soon be able to travel from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah in under 30 minutes.
New Heliports Across the Emirates and Expanding Connectivity
Dr. Samir Mohammed, Founder, Chairman, and MD of Air Chateau International, announced plans to construct at least six new heliports in various emirates. These will include both upgraded existing helipads and entirely new constructions. The first set of locations is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
The company aims to connect all emirates, including Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Abu Dhabi, and the tourist hotspot Hatta. This expansion will increase the accessibility of helicopter travel, which is currently limited to a few remote areas. Over the next 2-3 years, Air Chateau plans to expand its network to 30 locations.
There is a significant interest in Hatta, with hospitality companies eager to integrate the helicopter service into their offerings. This collaboration aims to provide curated experiences for tourists, enhancing the overall travel experience within the UAE.
Shilton Tony Irudayaraj, co-founder and CEO, highlighted the multifunctionality of the new heliports. These hybrid facilities will accommodate both traditional helicopters and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, fostering a robust air ecosystem. Last year, Air Chateau signed a $500 million agreement with Archer Aviation to purchase up to 100 eVTOL aircraft.
The company plans to build heliports in densely populated areas to maximize service coverage. This strategic location selection aims to balance operational safety and convenience while reaching the highest number of passengers.
Luxury services and competitive pricing
Air Chateau offers luxury helicopter services, including exclusive aerial tour packages of Dubai. While specific pricing details were not disclosed, the company assures competitive rates. The Dubai Helipark, adjacent to Al Maktoum Airport, is the largest in the UAE, accommodating eight helicopters and handling significant private jet traffic.
Air Chateau International’s upcoming inter-emirate helicopter service promises to revolutionize travel in the UAE, offering fast, luxurious, and accessible options for both residents and tourists.
Air Chateau International envisions a future where helicopter travel becomes an integral part of the UAE's transportation network. By enhancing connectivity between emirates and integrating with the latest eVTOL technology, the company aims to position itself at the forefront of urban air mobility. This initiative not only promises to reduce travel times significantly but also aligns with the UAE’s broader goals of innovation and sustainability. As the infrastructure develops, Air Chateau anticipates a surge in demand, driven by the growing need for efficient, premium transportation solutions among both locals and international visitors.
