The water delivery company in the Canadian city issued a warning message to all Calgary residents at 6:30 am regarding this problem related to the water main outage.

It is worth noting that the City of Calgary indicated in its official statement that the water main break along 16th Street northwest of Bowness affected the city’s water supply. “Supply levels have reached a critical state, impacting the city’s ability to provide water to communities and ensure the availability of sufficient water to support Emergency fire suppression.”

In its official warning statement released this morning, the city clarified that water levels had reached a critical level and that homeowners should not run dishwashers, wash clothing, or clean dishes either.
Do everything they can to conserve water
Not showering, washing dishes, or running appliances that utilize water until further notice—all residents should do all they can to save water, according the advisory.
Thursday at approximately five in the morning the city issued a water advisory.

The city said in a news release: "The City has issued its Municipal Emergency Plan; we currently do not have an estimate for how long boil water advisories or water restrictions will be necessary."
