Upon receiving the alarming call, the employee wasted no time in alerting her superiors, prompting a coordinated response from MIAL officials, the bomb squad, and local law enforcement agencies. The caller, whose identity remains shrouded in mystery, claimed to be calling from 'Navpada' and communicated in English. When pressed for details, the caller specified Terminal 1, gate number 1, before abruptly terminating the call with a seemingly nonchalant "All the Best" farewell.
The authorities conducted exhaustive efforts, including thorough searches of the designated area, but found no evidence of a bomb. Subsequently, the Mumbai Airport Police initiated legal proceedings against the unidentified individual under sections 505 (1) (b), 506 (2), and 507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
