New prices for gasoline and diesel were published by the United Arab Emirates fuel price committee for the month of July 2024. The updated rates will be in effect starting from July 1. To bring local prices in line with global market trends, these revisions reflect a combination of lower petrol costs and a little rise in diesel prices.
The UAE announces July 2024 fuel prices
The UAE fuel price committee has released the updated petrol and diesel prices for July 2024, effective July 1. Here are the new rates:
Super 98 Petrol:
The price of Super 98 petrol has been set at Dh2.99 per liter, down from Dh3.14 in June. This marks a decrease, offering some relief to consumers.
Special 95 Petrol:
Special 95 petrol will cost Dh2.88 per liter, a reduction from the previous rate of Dh3.02. This adjustment makes this fuel type more affordable for motorists.
E-Plus 91 Petrol:
The price of E-Plus 91 petrol is now Dh2.80 per liter, compared to Dh2.95 per liter in June. This decrease reflects a consistent downward trend in petrol prices.
Diesel:
Diesel will be priced at Dh2.89 per liter, slightly higher than the June rate of Dh2.88. While this is a minor increase, it indicates a slight adjustment in diesel pricing.
These changes in fuel prices are part of the UAE’s regular monthly review and adjustment of fuel prices, aimed at aligning domestic fuel prices with global market trends. The reduction in gasoline prices for July is a positive development for consumers, potentially lowering transportation costs and impacting overall living expenses.
The UAE continues to monitor and adjust fuel prices to reflect international oil price movements, ensuring that the prices are competitive and fair for consumers. This transparency and responsiveness to global oil market trends are part of the country’s broader economic strategy.
However, the fuel price adjustments for July 2024 show a general decrease in petrol prices, while diesel sees a slight increase. These changes are designed to align with global market conditions and provide a fair pricing structure for consumers in the UAE.
