Dubai has bestowed the name Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler's mother, on a recently sanctioned residential neighborhood intended for Emiratis, as an expression of profound gratitude.
Concurrent with this action is the distribution of 2,300 move-in ready residences and 3,500 sites valued at Dh5.5 billion to citizens only.
Dubai Pays Tribute to Sheikha Latifa with New Residential Area
Dubai has unveiled a new residential neighborhood dedicated to the mother of the ruler, named Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This heartfelt tribute accompanies the allocation of Dh5.5 billion for 3,500 land plots and 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses exclusively for Emirati citizens.
Honoring Sheikha Latifa's Legacy
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shares a profound connection with his mother, acknowledging her extensive humanitarian contributions in his book 'My Story.'
Government's Priority on Citizens
Under the 2024 projects approved within the Dubai Social Agenda 33, Sheikh Mohammed emphasizes the foundational role of citizens, their families, and social stability in government plans. The family is deemed the bedrock of the nation, crucial to all development initiatives, with the overarching objective of enhancing citizens' lives for a brighter future.
Generous Allotments for Citizens
The allocated parcels of land, which span 40 million square feet, will be handed to qualified Dubai residents in February. The Al Yalayis 5 region contains 800 lots, whereas Latifa City is home to 2,700. Areas like Al Khawaneej 2, Al Aweer, Wadi Al Amardi, and Hatta will also be home to 2,300 new homes for inhabitants.
Dubai Social Agenda 33
Launched earlier this month, the Dh208-billion Dubai Social Agenda program envisions doubling the number of Emirati families in the emirate within a decade. This comprehensive initiative reflects the leadership's commitment to prioritizing citizens, fostering family stability, and ensuring social development as integral components of Dubai's future vision.
