Emirates, based in Dubai, is embarking on an ambitious recruitment initiative to hire 5,000 cabin crew members in 2024.
Concurrent with this expansion, Emirates is expected to receive 65 A350s and a mixture of 205 777-9s and 777-8s from Boeing in 2025, with the 777-Xs joining the fleet in 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a role in Emirates' cabin crew, candidates must meet specific criteria:
- English proficiency, both written and spoken; additional languages are considered an asset.
- Exceptionally sociable and possesses a lively disposition.
- Height requirements: minimum 160cm, maximum 212cm
- Possession of the requisites for a UAE employment visa
- Customer service or hospitality experience of at least one year
- Twelveth grade minimum in secondary school academic pursuits
- The Emirates cabin personnel uniform prohibits the display of visible tattoos.
Recruitment Drive
The recruitment team at Emirates intends to carry out assessments and open days in more than 460 cities spanning six continents. The main demographic that this initiative caters to consists of recent or incoming college graduates with internship or part-time work experience, in addition to individuals with around one year of experience in the hospitality or customer service industry.

The cutting-edge Emirates facility in Dubai is the site of an intense eight-week training program for new cabin crew recruits.
