The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the United Arab Emirates advised private sector employees to work remotely due to the unstable weather conditions prevailing in the emirate, starting today, May 2.
The Ministry of Human Resources in the UAE announced in an official statement that vital jobs that require work in the workplace, namely the jobs of weather response teams, will be exempt from remote work.

In its statement, the Ministry of Human Resources in the UAE called for the necessity of following up on updates issued by the competent authorities in the UAE regarding the weather conditions.
The Ministry also called on private sector companies to adhere to the instructions issued by the competent local authorities regarding the state of weather conditions in the Emirates and its impact on business.
Moderate to heavy rain for two days
The Ministry explained in its statement that the rainfall in some areas of the country will be moderate to heavy for two days starting on Wednesday evening, and for its part, the Emirati Media Office has announced remote work for government employees.
Possible flight delays in the UAE
For its part, UAE airlines have issued warnings to travelers about the possibility of flight delays, in addition to schools announcing distance learning during the next two days due to bad weather conditions.
Lightning and thunder with heavy rain
The National Center of Meteorology in the UAE predicted that the coming days are expected to witness moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by lightning and thunder sometimes, in separate areas, adding that the imminent weather scenario is not expected to be the same as the rainfall that was witnessed on April 16 last year.
For its part, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in the Emirates announced the readiness of all its teams to confront the unstable weather conditions that the country is witnessing during the next two days. The precautionary measures that must be taken to confront the upcoming weather conditions were also discussed.
