Rain causes disruption to Dubai Metro services
Heavy rains last week in the UAE are still disrupting Dubai Metro services. Operations have nearly ceased, leaving many passengers stuck and queueing at stations around the emirate. The RTA reports that the Dubai Metro runs from Centrepoint to Expo 2020 and UAE stations. Update includes this information.
Closing four stations on the Dubai Metro
Even though the Red Line runs in both ways, the Roads Authority said only Onpassive, Equity, Mashreq, and Energy stations do not stop.
Transport authorities said Centrepoint Metro passengers must relocate to Business Bay or Al Khail stations. After that, take shuttle busses to the next stop. However, commuters note the lesser bus frequency. Shuttle caused travel issues.
Roads and Transport Authority: “Due to ongoing efforts to manage impacts on some metro stations, we would like to inform you of the changes to the Dubai Metro Red Line schedule.”
