UAE announces support for visas into the country 2024
The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau has unveiled a new program that will provide visa assistance to Indian nationals who are holding destination weddings around the Emirate. This initiative is part of an effort to showcase Abu Dhabi as a prime destination for weddings.
The newly introduced visa program is a contribution to Abu Dhabi's Tourism Strategy 2030, which seeks to increase the number of visitors to 39.3 million by the year 2030. It was introduced during the Arabian Travel Market 2024, which is now taking place and will continue until May 2024.
With UAE visas, wedding venues in Abu Dhabi are able to accommodate Indians.
According to the 2030 plan, the Destination Wedding segment is one of the newest verticals to join ADCEB. This is part of an overarching ambition to attract domestic and international tourists and to raise the sector's contribution to the GDP to AED90 billion ($24.5 billion).
As a result of the fact that India is widely acknowledged as one of the major markets for destination weddings worldwide, Abu Dhabi has identified it as a significant target market.
The ADCEB's Destination Wedding section intends to showcase the city as a world-leading destination for weddings and festivities of all kinds by providing visa help to Indian weddings in the form of incurring fees. This will be accomplished by offering visa support to Indian weddings.
It offers a channel via which the Emirate's original cultural and entertainment products, as well as its cultural attractions and natural landscapes, may be brought to the attention of people from across the world.
In addition, weddings are a significant source of revenue for the hospitality industry, playing a role in the occupancy of venues and hotel rooms, as well as for the service industry sectors, which include wedding planning, photography, catering, personal services, and other related fields.
The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau is an organization that plays a significant part in the organization of festivities, destination weddings, and corporate events that take place inside the Emirate.
It does this by bringing together various specialists and stakeholders in order to obtain convention business and coordinate strategies for bid development in order to showcase the emirate as a major destination for business tourism and festivities.
