During the recent meeting of the UAE Cabinet, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Ruler of Dubai, in Qatar, the homeland of Abu Dhabi, the decision regarding the new long-term blue residency for 10 years was officially approved.

The UAE Cabinet has officially approved the Blue Residency, which is reserved for certain categories of residents with exceptional contributions and efforts in the field of environmental protection, whether marine or land, or the quality of the air environment.
This long-term residency is for 10 years, for workers with exceptional contributions or in the fields of sustainability and its modern technologies, the circular economy, or other fields.”
