The price of gasoline has decreased in the UAE
The price of gasoline in the United Arab Emirates decreased in January of this year, but since February, the price that we pay at the pump has slightly increased.
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, later this week, the new rates will take effect.
The current petrol price in the UAE for May
- Super 98 gasoline costs Dhs3.34 a liter, down from Dhs3.15 in April.
- Special 95 gasoline now costs Dhs3.22 per litre instead of Dhs3.03 in April.
- Dhs3.15 per liter for E-plus 91petrol, up from Dhs2.96 in April
- Dhs3.07 per litre of diesel, up from Dhs3.09 in April
- The cost of a taxi in Dubai has increased along with the price of gasoline, currently standing at Dhs2.09 per kilometer.
Since 2015, the UAE has monthly price adjustments for gasoline to reflect international rates.
In July 2022, fuel prices in the United Arab Emirates hit an all-time high, with Super 98 costing Dhs4.63 per litre.
October of 2023 saw a peak in gas prices, which then dropped in November, December, and January.
