Ajman Government Grants Paid Holiday for New Year
In honor of the new year, the government has decided to provide its employees with a three-day weekend. Work as usual is scheduled to pick up again on January 2, 2024.
Private sector employees also enjoy a 3-day weekend.
In alignment with this announcement, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre) of the United Arab Emirates has declared a three-day weekend for employees in the private sector. This move aims to ensure that both public and private sector workers have the opportunity to enjoy an extended break in honor of the New Year.
Anticipating a Year of Public Holidays
There will be thirteen public holidays in the United Arab Emirates in 2024, according to a newly published list by the UAE Cabinet. Significantly, four of the seven recognized events might lead to longer weekends, with the longest break lasting six days.
