Critical Maintenance Areas
The RTA has highlighted several critical areas for vehicle maintenance. Drivers are urged to routinely check the condition of their tires, brakes, oils, cooling fluids, air conditioning systems, batteries, lights, and windshield wipers. To enhance public awareness, the RTA has launched educational campaigns in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior as part of the “Safe Summer” initiative. He outlined Dubai’s traffic safety strategy, which is structured around four pillars: traffic enforcement, road and vehicle engineering, traffic awareness, and the management of vehicle movements. To disseminate these important safety messages, the RTA has developed a plan to broadcast awareness content to drivers, emphasizing that vehicle safety is crucial not only for the driver but also for passengers and all road users. These messages are being promoted through various channels, including social media, customer service centers of partners such as driving institutes, car dealerships, and shopping malls.
