At the 114th Open Auction of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the last auction of the year, there will be 90 exceptional vehicle licencing plates available, with two, three, four, or five numbers.
Dubai RTA to Host the 114th Open Auction for Special Licence Plates
Ninety unique licence plates with two, three, four, or five numbers will be up for grabs at the next 114th Open Auction hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai. X33333, V2222, Y200, AA555, O48, T64, and T64 are some of the most notable plates. I, J, M, N, O, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z are some of the code groups to which these plates belong.
Final Auction of the Year:
That public auction, which is set to take place on Saturday, December 30, will be the last one for the year. Monday, December 25th, is when the bidding process begins. Starting at 4:30 p.m., the event will take place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
Various Registration Options:
Prospective bidders can register through multiple channels, including the RTA website (www.rta.ae), the Dubai Drive app, or any of the RTA Customer Happiness Centres situated in Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha. Due to limited seating, pre-registration is advised to secure a spot in the auction. However, on-site registration will also be available at the bidding hall starting at 2 p.m.
VAT and Registration Requirements:
The sale of number plates is subject to a 5% value-added tax (VAT). To participate in the auction, bidders must possess a traffic file in Dubai. Additionally, a security check of Dh25,000, payable to the RTA, is required. Bidders are also obligated to submit a non-refundable auction fee of Dh120 at the designated Customer Happiness Centres. Online payment options, including credit cards and the Dubai Drive app, are available for added convenience.
