Free parking in some places in the United Arab Emirates during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, during the period from June 16 to 18, according to what was announced this morning by the General Authority of Roads and Transport in the United Arab Emirates.
Public parking is free during the Eid Al Adha holiday
The Roads and Transport Authority in the United Arab Emirates clarified that most public parking lots in Ajman will be free, clarifying at the same time that this decision does not apply to private parking spaces and private parking spaces for fees.
Free parking in Sharjah
It is also worth noting that the security services in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates had also announced earlier that all public parking lots in the emirate will be completely free during the Eid Al Adha holiday during the period from June 16 to 18, 2024.
However, the security services in Sharjah confirmed that this decision does not apply to paid areas within public parking lots in the emirate, which are identified in blue and signs, and these public parking spaces are paid for a period of 7 days.
Changing the metro and tram timings during the Eid Al Adha holiday
It is worth noting that the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates had previously announced amending the working hours of the metro and tram during the Eid Al Adha holiday, in addition to free parking hours.
Eid Al Adha holiday for employees and workers in the UAE
The UAE government also revealed Eid al-Adha vacation for workers in the public and private sectors, which will be during the period from June 15 to June 18, 2024, while public sector employees in Sharjah receive a 5-day vacation.
While their counterparts from the public sector employees across the country will receive a 4.5-day Eid Al Adha holiday, with Friday allocated as a half-day.
Arafat Day is an official holiday in the UAE
It should be noted that the UAE government has declared Arafat Day an official holiday in the UAE, which falls on Dhu al-Hijjah 9 (June 15, 2024). Eid al-Adha holiday lasts for 3 days, and accordingly, the official holiday is four days long.
