The CEO of Lufthansa, Jens Ritter, spoke about his thrilling experience working as a flight attendant on an Airbus A330 alongside the rest of the cabin crew on a flight from Frankfurt to Riyadh.
"I served the business class passengers on the outbound trip and the economy class passengers on the return trip, to personally know the level of services and the level of customer satisfaction at his company without disclosing my identity," the company's CEO claimed.
He continued, "I was shocked by the level of organization required of the service staff and the responsibilities they perform, especially if things do not go according to plan. For instance, the meals listed on the menu cards did not match those that were put into the aircraft.
Additionally, he mentioned how fun it was to accommodate each visitor's preferences and deal with their unique personalities.
I was immediately accepted into the team by the fantastic group.
And to be completely honest, I relished each second and was astounded by how much I learned in that few hours.
After experiencing what is done on the plane and what the passengers and the service personnel go through, my work at the office when I go back will be different.
I appreciate the fantastic team, amazing visitors, and everyone else who helped make this event possible.
(Do you believe that after they are finished, these tests for leaders in any organization will add anything or change anything?)
It was exciting to accommodate each guest's needs individually and deal with the many personalities that each traveler had, he continued.
I relished every moment, he said, and I was astounded by how much I learned in those brief hours. After experiencing what is done on the plane and what the passengers and the service personnel go through, my work at the office when I go back will be different.
