This statement followed a flurry of announcements from UAE government agencies proclaiming the holiday of Eid Al Fitr.
The private sector's Eid al-Fitr vacation dates were issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. Workers for the state may have nine days off due to the vacation, which starts on Monday, April 8.
Government employees in Sharjah will have a 10-day break, according to the emirate.
