The UAE government has announced a pre-approved entry visa for a category of Indian citizens on arrival to enter the UAE.
The group that benefits from the decision
The government explained that the group that benefits from this benefit are Indian citizens who hold a regular passport and possess an American green card or have residency in the United Kingdom, or one of the European Union countries.
Stay as visitors for 14 days
These citizens can apply for a previously approved visa to enter the Emirates online, and they can remain as visitors for a period of 14 days, which can be extended.
The visa can be extended for another 14 days
According to what was announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, this visa can be extended only once for another 14 days.
It is worth noting that Indians who hold green cards or residency from the United Kingdom or European Union countries were granted prior entry permission upon arrival at the airport, but at present they must first apply online to obtain entry permission.
Documents required to obtain an entry visa
1- It is necessary to have a valid passport or travel document
2- It is also required that the beneficiary of the entry permit must have a permanent residence card (green card) from the United States of America, or hold a residence visa from the United Kingdom, or hold residency from one of the European Union countries.

The General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs clarified the terms and conditions for the short-term visit visa for beneficiaries of the service through its official website, which are as follows:
1- The applicant for the service must not have any restrictions that prevent him from entering the United Arab Emirates.
2- It is also required that the validity of the passport or travel document be not less than 6 months.
3- It is also required that the applicant for the service has a visa or green card issued by the competent American authorities, and its validity period is not less than 6 months. or
4- The General Administration of Identity and Citizenship in the Emirates also requires that he have a residence visa issued by the competent authorities in the United Kingdom or European Union countries, and its validity period is not less than 6 months.

The authority explained that Indian tourists who wish to obtain a pre-approved visa upon arrival must first register through the official website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae.
The Authority also confirmed that applicants for the service must also register their data and fulfill the requirements.
They also pay the fees (253 dirhams), after which they can obtain the visa, which is sent to them via the user’s email. The authority explained that the expected time to obtain the visa after submitting the application is only 48 hours.
