The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) is currently underway, offering visitors a multitude of perks, including complimentary tickets to iconic cultural landmarks in the Capital.
With 1,350 exhibitors from 90 countries, ADIBF is a bustling hub of literary and cultural exchange.
To gain access to the fair and the complimentary visits to Qasr Al Hosn and Louvre Abu Dhabi, attendees must register on the official website. Although the fair concludes on May 5th, access to these cultural destinations remains valid until May 12th.
In addition to free entry and cultural experiences, visitors can benefit from various book subscription discounts and exclusive offers:
- Dh30 for a three-month subscription on the ‘Rufoof’ platform
- 60% discount on an annual subscription to the Storytel platform
- 50% discount on an annual subscription for the ‘Iqraaly’ platform
- Free access to works of novelist Naguib Mahfouz on the ‘Iqraaly’ app in collaboration with Diwan Publishing
These initiatives, spearheaded by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), aim to foster a love for reading, promote culture, and facilitate dialogue.
Beyond the vast array of books and cultural activities, the fair serves as a testament to Abu Dhabi's position as a global cultural epicenter. According to Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of ALC and Director of ADIBF, the increased participation of publishers and attendees underscores the emirate's commitment to promoting Arabic language and culture.
New initiatives and events, including the 'Book of the World' program, enrich the fair's agenda, highlighting influential works that have shaped global culture. ADIBF's Guest of Honour program, which this year celebrates Egypt, along with the Focus Personality for 2024, Naguib Mahfouz, further enhance the fair's appeal to diverse audiences.
