With the launch of the Work Bundle platform's second phase on Tuesday, the processing time for the paperwork required to get work permits and resident visas has been shortened from thirty days to five days throughout the United Arab Emirates.
Together, a number of federal agencies and government ministries have developed a platform that will make it easier for private firms and business owners to hire new staff members and to pre-renew work permits for current workers.
The UAE issues a decision regarding a residence visa and work permit
All seven emirates are currently implementing the first phase, which was initially launched in April in Dubai. Over seven million individuals and approximately 600,000 enterprises will be covered by Work Bundle's second phase.
Clarification from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation
According to MoHRE, domestic workers will be covered in the third phase.
Work Bundle is now only accessible for businesses and employees via its website, but a mobile app will be released shortly.
Passengers are only permitted to access Dubai Airport during peak hours
According to the airport's operator, only travelers will be permitted inside Dubai International (DXB) during "peak periods." Passengers were encouraged by the authorities to say goodbye at home.
Many locals have the custom of dropping off their relatives at the airport and waiting for them to finish the check-in process in the terminals.
In an advice released ahead of the summer travel surge, DXB stated that "access to the arrivals’ forecourts in both Terminals 1 and 3 is restricted to public transport and authorised airport vehicles only."
