The UAE clarifies some matters regarding the visit visa and payment of the late fine and warns everyone!
Travel agents have reported that many tourists inadvertently prolong their stay in the United Arab Emirates because they are not aware that the grace period has been eliminated.
UAE makes a decision regarding a visit visa
Regardless of whether you have a residency or visitation visa, if you overstay your visit and flee the country, you risk being fined Dh50 each day.
In order to settle all charges, you must pay the fine if you stayed in the Emirates longer than was allowed. Here are six methods to help you accomplish that:
1. Go to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security website and select "Fines and Leave Permits" from the main menu.
2. After that, you will be taken to a different website where you will need to select 'Start Service' from the drop-down menu under 'Fines - Pay Fines - Violations of Entry Permissions or Residences - Pay New Fine'.
3. You need to complete the blank fields that show up on the page if you were in possession of a resident visa. If not, select 'residents of specified countries' and proceed to fill in the remaining fields.
4. You will be directed to a different page after selecting "Verify Applicant" and then "Next."
5. After that, you will be prompted to review your application and verify any pertinent information.
6. Eventually, a page requiring payment of the fine will be displayed to you. You will be able to verify that the transaction has been confirmed once you have paid.
