Air Arabia has resumed its flight services between Basra, Iraq, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant development in regional travel options. The airline has initiated four weekly return flights utilizing the Airbus A321 aircraft, connecting Basra International Airport and Sharjah International Airport. Commencing on June 7, 2024, the service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Upon its inaugural arrival in Basra, the first flight from Sharjah received a ceremonial water cannon salute, symbolizing the commencement of this renewed air link, with representatives from the airport in attendance.
