As of June 3, some public health centers in the United Arab Emirates will no longer provide medical fitness assessments for applicants seeking residency visas, according to officials.
The Emirates Health Services (EHC) emphasized that the service will still be available in other locations when they recently confirmed the shutdown.
The following four medical facilities will no longer provide medical fitness evaluations in order to obtain visas
- Public Health Center of Ajman
- Center for Public Health in Ras Al Khaimah
- Fujairah Public Health Center Umm Al Quwain Public Health Center
Every foreign national asking for a residence permit must pass a medical fitness exam. It takes a report attesting to one's "medically fit" status before an application can be granted.
Candidates from Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, and other emirate cities can use the service at various EHS centers, such as:
Ajman
- Center for Medical Examination at Mushairef Residence.
- Medical Examination Center at Al Nuaimiya Residence.
Ras Al Khaimah
- Dahan Residence Medical Examining Facility.
- Residence Medical Exam Center (RAKZ).
Umm Al Quwain
Center for Medical Examination at Al Madar Residence.
The Fujairah
- Center for Medical Examination at Al Amal Residence.
- Medical Examination Center at Mina Tower Residence.
What is the price of it?
There are three different service charge categories for both long-term and recent immigrants to the nation.
Workers, employers, and employees are all included in Category A. Dh260 is the service charge.
Men employed by health clubs, medical facilities, and hair and beauty salons fall into Category B. For individuals who fit into this category, the cost is Dh 250.
Employees in hair and beauty salons, nannies, domestic helpers, nursery and kindergarten supervisors, and those employed by health clubs and healthcare institutions fall under category C. These personnel are subject to a Dh360 service charge.
